In his one year with Athletico, Bahati made an impact as a CB and RB, bringing energy, resilience, and passion to the team every time he stepped on the field. Thanks to @tursisocceridaho , we have the opportunity to recognize a second NBFC Spotlight recipient, who also received tickets to Saturday’s EPIC @acboise home game. We’re thrilled to spotlight Megan Goodhew! If you’ve ever worked with Megan in any capacity (through @schoolofsoccerboise or @north_boise_fc ), you know what an amazing person she is. She constantly goes above and beyond in her role as NBFC Registrar, getting registrations and rosters submitted to leagues and tournaments well ahead of deadlines, helping parents and coaches with questions and tech support, and keeping our coaches and managers focused on their team administrative tasks. Megan even manages to corral our chronic procrastinator Executive Director (if you know Stacey, you know) into working on projects well in advance! Simply put, Megan is the glue that keeps North Boise FC together. We couldn’t have managed this epic growth without her. Thank you for all you do, Megan!

Today we are excited to spotlight Coach @coachholly.208 ! 🎉⚽️ Coach Holly has been selected to attend the @acboise game this weekend, and we could not think of someone more deserving. Her passion and dedication to the game of soccer show up in every part of her coaching. She creates an environment where players feel connected, supported, challenged, and empowered both on and off the field. Through her transparency, consistency, and genuine investment in her players, she builds trust, accountability, and confidence within every team she coaches. Coach Holly currently coaches both a 2014 girls team and a 2014 boys team, and she continues to go above and beyond for her players. In addition to regular team practices, she dedicates extra time each week to small-group, skill-focused training sessions to support individual player development. Every session is intentional. She teaches the “why” behind decisions, reinforces discipline and integrity, and helps players grow through purposeful habits and measurable progress. Along with coaching two competitive teams, Coach Holly has also been actively involved with @schoolofsoccerboise, coaching in our U8/U9 Academy and Practice & Play programs. What truly sets Coach Holly apart is the way she connects with her players. She develops soccer skills while also mentoring young athletes in character, resilience, leadership, and work ethic. She leads by example and instills values that extend far beyond the game. She is the kind of coach and role model every parent hopes their child will have in a sports program. When she is not on the field, you can find Holly at @boisestateuniversity as a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering, researching infant biomechanics and studying how infant products affect the way infants move and breathe. The future is bright for Holly, and we are so grateful to have her coaching for NBFC! 💙⚽

He will be getting 4 tickets to @acboise this weekend! ✨ Avi has been part of the NBFC Galacticos family for the past 7 years, growing into not just a key player, but one of the true foundations of the team. As a co-captain, he leads with ❤️, fierceness, and dedication. On the field, Avi is known across Idaho as a defender who gives everything - fearless in challenges and dependable in the backline 💪. He also helped lead Idaho ODP’s 2008 group to a Championship in 2025 🏆 and showed his athletic versatility as the Boise High School football kicker. Not only is Avi being recognized as a player, but also as a coach and leader 👏. He’s been incredible working with our younger NBFC players, striking the perfect balance of motivation, encouragement, and thoughtful, constructive feedback. The kids want to work hard for him, and that comes from the genuine time and care he gives each of them. Whether it’s coaching an indoor team or taking a few minutes after his own game to say hi and connect with his younger players, Avi consistently shows up. They sorted thousands of pounds of food to be distributed throughout the community. One in six Idaho children are food insecure, and the Idaho Food Bank works with food pantries across the state to serve those in need.
